Does Dermarolling Affect Skin Tone?

Do you want to improve the skin tone of your facial skin by using a derma roller? This post is for you!

Today, dermarolling is not limited to the treatment of skin conditions only, but is equally popular as an amazing beauty tool. Still we often find customers confusing obvious after effects with side effects, particularly first-timers. However, all those who are familiar with the procedure know what type of changes are common after each treatment.

What You Can Expect After a Dermarolling Session?

Effectiveness of a derma roller is completely based on the minor injuries caused on the skin surface during needling. That means the deeper the surgical needles penetrate, the more they kindle the skin’s internal rejuvenation mechanism. So, there is nothing to worry about the tiny injuries as they are meant to trigger the inactive or slowed down renewal process of your skin.

Is Skin Redness Normal After Needling?

No. Not as long as you’re using the right tools such as Dr. Roller and your way of needling or moving derma roller is correct!

For example, if you are using the longer needles, you may notice redness on the skin surface. It is not a side effect, but a natural after effect that indicates proper puncturing of the skin and an increase in the collagen level deep within the skin. However, if redness doesn’t vanish after a few hours, you should take longer than usual before the next treatment session.

Does Dermarolling Affect Skin Tone?

Dermarolling has never been found to affect skin tone. However, you may notice temporary discoloration if you are using the longest needle size. And if you notice uneven skin tone, it is due to the breakdown of old collagen fibers. That means it’s temporary and should come back to normal after some time.
