Does Dermarolling Work for Spider Veins

The popular derma rolling procedure is used to treat a variety of skin conditions including those caused by ageing, scarring and sun damage. But, does it really work for spider veins as well? Read on to find out!

Spider veins are not a good sight. They can be found on the facial skin, legs, nose, feet and thighs. No one likes them but very few people having these spider veins (with an ugly appearance, of course) decide on getting rid of them.

While there are a variety of expensive and inexpensive (including homemade remedies) treatments available for spider veins, many people wonder if derma rolling can be used for the same.

Will Derma Rolling Work or Not?

The fact is that there are no complete answers for this question. Derma rolling may or may not work for spider veins. It largely depends on the nature and size (especially) of the capillaries (tiny blood vessels that are clearly visible) on the target skin area.

Should You Use a Derma Roller?

Dilated blood vessels or broken blood capillaries can in most cases be dealt with by using a derma roller.

If you’ve got a derma roller at home, you can try it out for spider veins. If you don’t notice any results, it is advisable to consult a good dermatologist and consider other treatment options for spider veins.

Just make sure you don’t use too small a roller for large sized spider veins or vice-versa. Doing so can lead to unnecessary bleeding and even worsen the appearance of capillaries! Your best bet is to first consult a skin care professional (it at all you want to use derma rolling for spider veins) and determine the exact size of the roller suitable for the spider veins you so earnestly wish to get rid of.
